Where does the thermal relief valve go on a Honda Excell XR2600 Pressure washer?

I have a 5hp Honda Excell XR2600 pressure washer. I talked to the reps on the phone and they told me it was the thermal relieve valve was the problem I was having. It would make pressure sometimes and then othertimes not. I got the part 16484 and I just don’t see where it goes. I have had the pump off and I still don’t see where it goes. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m worried the rep may have mislead you. The thermal relief valve only activates if the pump over heats by releasing hot water from the pump to make room for cooler water. It does nothing for making pressure. The pressure problem you describe would be connected with either the pressure relief valve, or the pump valves, or both.

I have a gasoline powered pressure washer, in which I forgot to add gas stabilizer before winter.?

Now, once the engine gets hot, it stalls out. I assume the lines or carb got gummed up. Any thoughts how to clean it out?

carb cleaner that you place in a car gas tank. but just place about 1/4 of a cup also check the air filter.

What brand and type and power level of pressure washer should I buy to clean OIL Stains off the driveway?

What brand and type and power level of pressure washer should I buy to clean OIL Stains off the driveway?

Would I need electric or gas powered? I got some tough stains on my driveway street area’s that I want to clean up. My car USED to leak oil and I despise the oil stains onb the ground…They are kind of Ancient stains and I tried all types of chemicals already to clean them but they didn’t completely work. I want to try a pressure washer / cleaner now.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Water will not take off oil. Period. The two do not mix. Really soapy water(like that in a pail of hot water combined with either or a mixture of laundry soap, dish soap and bar soap and a scrub brush(where you get down on your hands and knees and scrub the stain is about the simplest to get a hold of and do right today if you wanna. Soap (which is partly water dissoluble stout) will work in lifting the oil from the pavement and once in solution you can wash it away with water. That is what lifts will lift. The black that remains(if there is any) is the soot(same as what is in a chimney from a fireplace) =very fine charcoal. which sits in the microcracks between the sand and cement(if it is a cement driveway) It does not dissolve or blow away.
Another chemical for removing grease is TSP (paint store) It will take paint off hardened brushes so can be made really strong..
Personally, I would go with the soap solution first. Just because there is no financial loss(investment in a pressure washer that does not do it anyways.)
If it is an home asphalt driveway do not use pressurewasher(and it does not matter if the driveway is fresh or 10 years ancient). expecially if the pressure can be 250psi plus. It will dig holes in the asphalt causing more hurt than it is worth.
Being that it is on the street, it belongs to the city or department of highways. The next time they pave the road, they will repave over that section. with new tar. They don’t do spot repair(unless there is a huge pothole there) and even then they do pothole repair and leave it till the street is slated for repaving as they do an entire street or two or three..

How can I prepare an exterior concrete wall for painting though I have no access to a pressure washer?

I am mural-painting an exterior concrete block which is the base for a metal traffic control box. All of it will be painted. I read on the interwebs that it’s best to pressure-wash ext concrete before painting, but I have no access to water for the pressure washer. Do I have any alternatives?
I could transport *some* water to the site, just there is no hookup for a hose.

i’d transport some water there. use a semi-rigid brush, water, and some concrete cleaner (check out Thompson, they make one) to scrub the concrete.
rinse very well (even if it just consists of repeatedly throwing water on it).
allow the concrete to dry thoroughly (i’d leave it for a day if it’s sunny).
PRIME the concrete with a concrete primer (if you don’t the mural paint probably won’t stick that long) and let that dry thoroughly.
do your mural!

Insecticide in a pressure washer?

I am wondering what is a excellent sprayer for yard/garden insecticide and liquid fertilizer. I just finished pressure washing my deck and got to thinking it would be nice to have something like this — electric and powerful — for my yard, for my very tall fruit trees, 1-acre grass with ants, general fertilizing. I bet one could get that done in no time flat.

I have a Craftsman hand-pump which I was never, ever pleased with from day one. I dread the thought of using it.

Anyone ever place anything like that in a pressure washer ?
On 2+ acres infested with ants, I reckon it’s time to spray. I’m sure the 3 neighbors would prefer to see the lush green lawn I used to have . . .

Trust me, they won’t/can’t sue and wouldn’t do that anyway, not like that here, thank goodness

Prune your fruit trees. Get those high suckers off. Tall tree do not produce much fruit,(especially on the higher limbs). These types of trees are being yanked for a more tighter intense production orchard.
The excess sucker growth just makes the tree weaker (and a weak tree basically gives off a scent that attracts bugs).

As for putting insecticide into a pressure washer…..you seem to have overlooked that insecticide and poison are the same thing. It will kill you just as well as a bug. You really want to be careful with it and not contaminate the entire neighborhood. Besides it needs to be ontop of the leaves, (not in them.) Same would apply to the fruit. A poison apple is not worth much to anyone.
Orchardists try using as small pesticides as possible.(it cuts into their profit margin)
I wouldn’t use it for getting it out of the pressure washer will take ages.(and maybe the next thing you pressure wash is the picnic table).without even thinking about residue.
